At British Garden Centres, we aim to deliver a great experience in our Centres and create an exceptional customer service experience. We are looking for a Horticultural Manager to join our forward-thinking team. Working in the Garden Centre, this is a high-volume environment with a fast turnaround.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of the plant area.
- Supervising duties including key holder opening and closing store as required.
- Excellent customer service.
- Organising team schedules and addressing any staff issues.
- Evaluating employee performance and providing training and guidance as needed.
- Filling in for absent employees and assisting teams as needed to successfully complete projects.
- Ensuring that employees follow company policies as well as health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring a high and consistent standard of customer service.
- Business compliance in accordance with Health and Safety and food safety laws and regulations.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Proven managerial experience.
- Physically fit as this is a very hands-on role and some heavy lifting may be required.
- A highly motivated individual with a passion for exceptional retail standards, driving sales, and great customer service.
- Management experience and 2 years of plant knowledge are a must; previous work within horticulture is required.
