British Flowerpots is the UK’s largest producer of handcrafted ceramic flowerpots. We are a growing, hands-on manufacturing business supplying retailers, garden centres and direct to consumers nationwide. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Dispatch Lead & Operations Administrator to become a key part of our team. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the business, supporting sales, warehouse, production and operations.
The Role
This is a varied and responsible position overseeing daily administration across sales & orders processing, dispatch coordination, stock control and team supervision & leadership. You will act as the central link between sales, warehouse, suppliers, agents and management, ensuring everything runs smoothly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer orders (email, online platforms, sales team).
- Produce picking lists and delivery documentation.
- Coordinate warehouse dispatch and pallet bookings.
- Lead the dispatch team, ensuring orders are packed and dispatched within the correct timeframes.
Stock & Reporting
- Input daily production figures into Sage.
- Produce weekly stock reports.
- Prepare sales and agent commission reports.
General Administration
- Maintain customer, supplier and employee records.
- Handle incoming enquiries.
- Maintain company vehicle compliance records.
- Provide weekly and monthly operational updates to management.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in accounts or office administration.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Confident communicator able to deal with suppliers, warehouse staff and management.
- Adaptable and prepared to work in different departments and environments to support the business's needs.
- Experience within a manufacturing or wholesale environment.
- Working knowledge of Sage.
