We are seeking a team of seasonal Visitor Services Assistants to play a vital role in supporting our busy front of house and cinema operations at BFI IMAX during the Christmas and New Year blockbuster season.
Responsibilities
- Providing a first class welcome to all visitors to the BFI IMAX.
- Working in Front of House, ticketing, food and beverage areas to deliver an excellent level of customer service.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and quality in all areas at all times.
- Taking every opportunity to learn new skills and use initiative to improve the customer experience.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Have previous experience in a customer facing operational role.
- Are excellent and inspiring communicators with a passion for seeking out any opportunity to engage with customers.
- Are flexible, committed and results focused, with a willingness to collaborate and work together, to take ownership of actions and get things done.
- Are passionate about film and moving image cinema.
Role details
This role is based at our BFI IMAX site at London Waterloo and is advertised as a minimum 8 hours per week on a fixed term basis until 31 January 2026 to support our blockbuster winter season. If successful you will be working on a shift rota basis covering Friday to Thursday, with late, overnight, bank holiday and weekend shifts to be expected. The BFI IMAX is closed on Christmas day. Due to the seasonal nature of the contract, you will need to be flexible around existing contracted staff and busier times in the cinema programme. A full induction to the role and the BFI will be provided.
