We are looking for an experienced Office Relocation Manager to manage the logistics of closing our Stephen Street office and help set up our new workplace in the Southbank/Waterloo area.
What you’ll do:
- Act as the on‑site lead for relocation activity, aligning daily operations with the masterplan, identifying risks, and providing real‑time updates on progress and contractor performance.
- Engage BFI departments through workshops and audits to capture space, storage, equipment, and archive needs, translating these into practical requirements for space planning and move logistics.
- Coordinate with suppliers, building tenants, Facilities, Procurement, and H&S teams to manage contract transitions, secure RAMS, and ensure all operational requirements are in place pre‑move.
- Oversee all physical move activities, including specialist relocations, server room migration, asset management, and ethical disposal, ensuring continuity of services and delivery against sustainability targets.
- Lead office mobilisation and staff readiness by managing furniture/AV installation, producing site procedures and Health & Safety documentation and ensuring smooth post‑occupation operations.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in the physical coordination of office moves, including inventory management and contractor supervision.
- Strong knowledge of manual handling, fire safety orders, and CDM 2015 regulations as they apply to physical moves.
- Experience in the circular economy, such as managing sustainable asset disposal, recycling programs, and carbon‑conscious logistics for large‑scale site exits.
- Confidence to challenge expert input from contractors or specialist vendors in a credible manner to protect the BFI’s operational interests.
