Flexible in year, must be able to be on site between 1 and 5 days weekly during festival periods
We are looking for an experienced marketing individual to join our team. This role is central to the inclusive growth, cultural impact and income targets of BFI London Film Festival and BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival with responsibility for the strategy and delivery of full-funnel, omni-channel marketing campaigns. In addition to audience growth, development and revenue remits, the role is pivotal in managing day to day relationships with film distribution partners and sponsors in delivery of the red carpet experience, branding, media line and content amplification.
What youβll do
- Develop and deliver full-funnel, omni-channel strategic marketing, brand and engagement campaigns for BFI London Film Festival and BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, working in collaboration with colleagues from across the organisation
- Work in collaboration with relevant teams to deliver Festival inclusive growth, cultural impact and income targets, and lead on sales review, ticket schemes and tactics groups
- Lead the Festival marketing team, including recruitment and management of temporary festival staff, and direct other BFI colleagues on festival marketing planning, delivery and execution
- Manage the I&E marketing budgets for BFI Festivals
- Manage the production and delivery of AV materials including trailers and moving idents
- Manage a range of marketing agencies and suppliers including media buying, social content and trailer/ AV production
- With production, social media, press colleagues and external agencies lead on the co-ordination and optimisation of in-festival content capture, video content strategy and amplification across BFI and partner channels, including influencers
- Work with the Festival Production Team, external production and print branding agencies, venues and film distribution suppliers to deliver cinema branding and event promotion, in particular the red carpet Gala branding and pre-screening materials at Royal Festival Hall venue
What youβll bring
- Significant campaign and brand marketing management experience in the festival or event sectors, including budget and team management
- Proven project management skills with an understanding of sales in a cultural/ exhibition/ ticketed event environment
- A proven ability to develop and deliver a broad-based cross-channel marketing and branding campaign in a fast-paced, dynamic cultural environment
- A proven track record in creating innovative marketing and audience development strategies and achieving business objectives and revenue targets
- Experience of negotiating with colleagues, external suppliers and external contacts
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively influence people at all levels
- Proven experience of successful people management including recruiting, managing and motivating teams, and a history of effective delegation
