Our specialist team are experts not only in completing the most thorough inspections on critical structures such as railway bridges, but also in accessing some of the most challenging locations. From abseiling to diving, the skills and expertise of our team is impressive, meaning we can support our customers, no matter what.

What will you be doing?

As a Asbestos Surveyor for BES Infrastructure, you will be responsible for the successful completion of Asbestos Surveys across a broad range of industries within the UK. Additionally, you will support Structural Inspections and Investigations on a wide range of infrastructure civil engineering assets. The role is across industrial, commercial and residential categories, as well as a multitude of infrastructure categories.

You will:

  • The Asbestos Surveyor is responsible for managing the safe and successful delivery of allocated works on site including the management of on-site resources.

  • Undertake a wide range of Asbestos Surveys including Management Surveys, and Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys on Commercial, Residential and Industrial properties

  • Responsible for the preparation and accurate representation of Asbestos Survey reports in accordance with technical standards. Report production is completed through a variety of formats including, but not limited to, Flow Mobile, MS Word and MS Excel, X-PORT (In-house reporting tool), client and other third-party Asset Management Platforms.

  • Support the delivery of Structural Inspections, Investigations and Surveys as may be required.

  • To engage professionally with clients and other key external stakeholders as required creating strong relationships with key individuals

  • Ensure a culture where Health and Safety is the No 1 priority for the team, fully adopting the BES Group policies, procedures, resources and guidance in all decisions.

  • Operate under the ISO/IEC 17020:2012 standard and HSG264 guidance, as well as having working knowledge of any relevant client or industry standards

  • BOHS Qualification P402

  • 2+ years in a relevant Asbestos Survey / Engineering / Bridge Inspection position

  • BOHS Qualification P403, P404 and P405 desirable

  • Demonstrable experience in producing high quality Asbestos Survey reports

  • Experience of supervising contractors and third-party suppliers on site desirable

  • UK Driving licence

  • A minimum standard starting salary of £34,146 depending on experience
