Role Overview
As Head of Pricing & Commercial Analytics for British Engineering Services Group, you will lead the development and execution of our pricing strategy to maximise profitability, competitiveness, and customer value across our engineering portfolio. You will provide commercial insight and governance across bids, contracts, and pricing decisions, whilst leading a small team and partnering closely with Sales Leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop, track and analyse key commercial metrics including pipeline growth, revenue, conversion and retention
- Provide insight on sales performance, forecasting, trends, risks and growth opportunities
- Deliver accurate sales and commercial forecasts to support business planning
- Produce reporting and presentations for Sales Leadership and Executive teams
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximise profitability and customer value
- Provide governance and commercial guidance for bids, tenders, contracts and proposals
- Analyse pricing, margin and profitability to identify improvement opportunities
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements
- Lead, coach and develop a team of pricing analysts
- Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes, tools and analytics
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Engineering, Procurement and Business Development teams

Requirements
- Significant experience in pricing, commercial finance, sales operations, business analytics or a related function
- Proven track record of developing and implementing pricing strategies in a complex B2B environment
- Strong experience analysing commercial performance and translating data into actionable insights
- Experience supporting bids, tenders, contracts and commercial negotiations
- Experience developing forecasting models, reporting and performance metrics
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Strong understanding of pricing principles, margin management and profitability
- Knowledge of forecasting, pipeline management and commercial performance measurement
- Advanced analytical, data interpretation and communication skills
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and support strategic decision-making
