To be considered for this role, you will live within North London and be comfortable travelling across the Home Counties.
What will you be doing?
As an Electrical Remedial Engineer for BES Electrical you will carry out electrical testing within the social housing industry across the North West and Yorkshire area. You will undertake electrical testing in domestic and communal areas and carry out remedial works identified during inspections.
You Will:
- Undertake high‑quality electrical repairs and remedial works following inspection, such as distribution board changes, RCDs and socket changes.
- Get involved in small projects such as EV installations.
- Comply with company standards of work performance, ensuring implementation and compliance within electrical policies and procedures.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Utilise our CRM system and reporting software to accurately record electrical documentation.
- Liaise with customers and members of our supply chain, providing an excellent service.
- Maintain van stocks and provide information enabling improvements of first‑time fixes for the area you work within.
As a Fixed Wire Tester (Housing), You Will Get:
- A standard starting salary of £43,000 with realistic earnings of up to £50,000.

- NVQ Level 3 qualification in electrical installation work (e.g. C&G 2330, 2360, 2357, 2365).
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (2394 / 2395).
- A positive, diverse and inclusive attitude towards both internal and external customers and colleagues.
- A flexible approach to working, with willingness to work overtime to cover workloads during busy periods.
- Ability to work nights one week out of every month.
- Hard‑working, conscientious electrician who takes pride in delivering great service to a prestigious client base.
- Good level of computer literacy.
- Full driving licence.
