With safety as our top priority, our electrical division focuses on electrical safety, carrying out hundreds of Essential Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR’s) and other critical inspections daily. We also specialise in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions, managing the end‑to‑end installation and ongoing safety examinations. Applicants must be within commuting distance to Liverpool.

What We’re Looking For

As a Fixed Wire Tester (Housing) for BES Electrical, you will carry out electrical testing in the social housing industry across the North West and Yorkshire areas. Your tasks include testing in domestic and communal areas and carrying out any remedial work identified.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work individually or as part of a team to undertake high‑quality electrical repairs, testing and/or remedial work as required.
  • Comply with BS7671 standards and company standards of work performance, ensuring implementation and compliance with electrical policies and procedures.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Use our CRM system and reporting software to record electrical documentation accurately.
  • Carry out electrical condition reporting, repairs and installations to the highest standards.
  • Communicate with tenants, customers and supply‑chain members.
  • Maintain van stock and provide information enabling first‑time‑fix improvements within your area.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in electrical installation work (e.g., C&G 2330, 2360, 2357, 2365).
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (2394 / 2395).
  • BS7671 18th edition (or willingness to achieve before starting role).
  • Positive, diverse and inclusive attitude towards customers and colleagues.
  • Flexible approach to working, including willingness to work overtime during busy periods.
  • Hard‑working, conscientious electrician who delivers excellent service to a prestigious client base.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Full driving licence held for at least 12 months.
