Funding aspiring ecologists

Since our bursaries began five years ago, aspiring ecologists have used their awards to develop their careers in many different ways. For some, it is funding work experience placements, UK-based field trips, and equipment; for others, it has gone towards driving lessons to enable opportunities for remote fieldwork, buying weatherproof gear, and attending in-person conferences.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, our Bursary awardees are now successfully pursuing a range of ecological careers, from consultancy and conservation to environmental outreach and filmmaking.

Apply for a bursary

We are currently reviewing the way our bursaries are administered to deliver a new bursary scheme from 2025 onwards. We will reopen for applications in the new year.
