Are you passionate about motorcycles and skilled in both writing and video content creation? We’re looking for a Motorcycle Journalist to join our BikeMatters team at Lexham. This role is perfect for someone who loves producing motorcycle content through written articles and engaging videos.
About the Role
As our Motorcycle Journalist, you’ll be responsible for creating high-quality written and video content for our audience. Whether you’re reviewing the latest bikes, producing engaging motorcycle content, or covering industry trends, you’ll play a key role in shaping our motorcycle coverage. You’ll work closely with our Video Content Creator to deliver professional, engaging video content to a high standard. Attending motorcycle events is also an important part of the role, giving you the opportunity to create exciting and relevant content.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Motorcycle Video Content
- Overseeing the motorcycle video schedule, including reviews and feature content.
- Arranging suitable scooter and motorcycle models for testing – liaising with manufacturers, brands, and agencies.
- Preparing scripts and organising test rides, working closely with marketing team members.
- Assisting with setting up camera and audio equipment to ensure professional production quality.
- Presenting on camera for BikeMatters videos.
- Working with the video content creator to schedule editing and publishing to meet strict deadlines.
- Providing feedback, quality control, and approval of motorcycle videos.
- Analysing video performance data and reporting on key insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Conducting video content research and planning to ensure engaging and relevant material.
- Writing engaging motorcycle articles, reviews, and features.
- Keeping up to date with the latest motorcycle trends, news, and industry developments.
Industry & Team
- Acting as the go‑to for motorcycle‑related content, offering guidance and insight to the team.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and execute video & content strategies.
- Attending motorcycle shows and events for presenting, photography, and video and content purposes.
What We’re Looking For
- A strong passion for motorcycles and solid knowledge of the industry.
- Excellent writing skills, with experience in journalism or content creation.
- Confidence in front of the camera with strong presenting abilities.
- Ability to assist with camera and audio equipment to a professional standard.
- Strong research skills to produce accurate and engaging content.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel both in the U.K. and internationally and attend motorcycle events as part of the role.
- Full motorcycle and car licence is essential.
