What will you be doing?

  • Lead the development and delivery of a high‐quality, sustainable road and circuit racing calendar, focusing primarily on the National Series, Championships and UCI‐level events.
  • Coordinate major domestic and international road events in Great Britain, ensuring strong standards, governance and sustainable growth.
  • Act as the main point of contact for domestic teams, event organisers, officials, police, NEG and other stakeholders involved in the national road calendar.
  • Oversee the delivery of youth, junior and elite competition pathways, supporting rider progression and best practice across clubs and teams.
  • Build strong relationships with organisers and suppliers to improve safety, consistency, cost‐effectiveness and spectator engagement.
  • Lead technical and sporting elements of National Championships and support British Cycling Ventures with the delivery of major events across the wider British Cycling portfolio.
  • Manage key projects including Elite Development Team activity, Elite Road Taskforce recommendations, and line management of the Road Competition Officer.

What we're looking for

  • Strong knowledge and experience of domestic road and circuit racing, with a good understanding of the regulation and structure the events operate within.
  • Proven experience in the technical planning, delivery and financial management of competitive cycling events.
  • Excellent relationship‐building and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with organisers, volunteers, teams and partners.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, including budget management, reporting, and line management capability.
  • Passion for cycling and a commitment to developing a safe, inclusive and progressive competition pathway for riders at all levels.
