Role Title: Customer Engagement and Content Officer
Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: 6-month fixed term
Location: Manchester (hybrid working available). Minimum of two days per week in the Manchester office

About the role

We are recruiting a fixed term, full time Customer Engagement and Content Officer. As part of the Brand andEngagement Directorate, we work to establish and communicate a compelling and consistent brand narrative to strengthen our engagement, and increase our reach and relevance.

This role focuses on customer communications, combining data, design and copywriting to curate a great experience. It would suit someone with proven ability using a marketing automation platform, a super sharp eye for detail and the editorial skills to independently adapt for different customer groups.

You’ll need to be able understand and manipulate data to embed segmentation and personalisation, have the logic to build customer journeys, and bring a confidence in your writing and creative flair that will help British Cycling content to stand out.

With involvement in almost everything the organisation is doing, it’s a great position for someone with an interest in sport (or even better, cycling). Plus, it’s a hugely exciting time to join, with our digital transformation plans about to unfold.

Responsibilities

  • From building emails and data capture forms through to setting up and refining automation journeys, you will support the Customer Engagement Lead to deliver day-to-day email communications.
  • Handle data in order to apply segmentation and respect preferences. This requires a considered and logical approach, while also drawing on creative skills to produce copy and assign imagery
  • Proactively ensure that the communications individuals receive are relevant and timely, working with teams across the organisation to ensure this.
  • Oversee all outgoing communications to ensure an appropriate cadence and level of care.
  • Plan and execute written content pieces and publishacross multiple platforms, in line with a data-driven editorial calendar.
