Role
Support the smooth delivery of the British Council’s Evidence, Evaluation and Learning (EEL) team activities by coordinating reporting, compliance, finance and knowledge management processes. You will manage evaluation reports and resources, support vendor payments and budgeting activities, organise events and practitioner networks, and help ensure valuable insights and evidence are accessible across the organisation to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Role Accountabilities
- Lead on curation of evaluation reports: Leading and maintaining the evaluation repository and tracker, sourcing, tagging and coding reports, securing publication approvals, and coordinating dissemination pathways. Uploading evaluation reports to IATI, the Government Evaluation Registry and the British Council website, working closely with the Research & Insight team.
- Manage finance processes for the evaluation team: Managing vendor setup, SAP purchase orders, contracts and invoice payments for the evaluation team. Supporting forecasting, reporting, budget tracking, time logging and other project implementation activities.
- Responsibility for dissemination and engagement coordination: Coordinating internal and external report launches, dissemination webinars and communities of practice. Working with the Research & Insight team to support learning and engagement activities.
- Oversee EEL team’s toolkits and resources: Developing and maintaining the evaluation team intranet, including Theories of Change, outcomes, case studies, indicators, methods and standards. Updating evidence content on the British Council intranet and leading equality screening for evaluation policies, standards and strategies.
- Capacity building: Overseeing the development of Monitoring and Evaluation training materials. Coordinating internal capacity-building sessions on evaluation methods and standards.
Qualifications
Education
Essential: Equivalent and relevant work experience is acceptable.
Desirable: Degree in a social science or humanities is desirable.

Role Specific Knowledge and Experience
Essential: Demonstrated capability in knowledge management, content curation, records management, administration or related operational support functions. Strong capability in coordinating and delivering digital and in-person events and engagement activities. Proven ability to work effectively with senior leaders and a wide range of stakeholders. Skilled in delivering or coordinating projects, ensuring priorities and deadlines are successfully managed. Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver results within agreed timelines.
Desirable: Knowledge of evaluative approaches or transferable expertise from a related discipline or field. Project management training, qualifications or equivalent work experience. Experience with SAP.
