Overview
The Assistant Consultant will provide operational support to the Consultant across activities including ensuring ISPF project compliance with management standards and contractual obligations, supporting the closure of Newton Fund projects, and helping to set up documentation for a new global Science programme. The role also includes financial administration such as invoicing, purchase orders, vendor creation, and maintaining records and spreadsheets, alongside issuing grant agreements and processing payments. Additional responsibilities include managing inboxes and delivering high-quality customer service to applicants and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Deliver efficient operational support using standard systems and processes to ensure smooth programme management.
- Respond to requests from senior managers and stakeholders, coordinate resources, and provide timely feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Resolve complex customer issues, maintain strong internal and external relationships, and support events and meetings.
- Adhere to risk and compliance protocols, contribute to monitoring and evaluation, and manage financial tasks such as reporting, procurement, and budgeting.
- Prioritise tasks across multiple workstreams, support others in meeting project milestones, and offer coaching where needed.

Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience of project delivery, particularly client-funded and/or partnership projects.
