The Languages Teacher will help students develop the language skills required for academic success.
The role involves working closely with teachers, school leaders, and families to ensure an inclusive and high-quality learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver IBDP Spanish A and IBDP Portuguese B lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
- Develop differentiated learning strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Collaborate with subject teachers to support language development across the curriculum.
- Prepare reports and provide regular feedback on student achievement and progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
- Promote an inclusive, supportive, and multicultural learning environment.
- Maintain effective communication with families and the wider school community.
- Required Skills/Abilities
- Degree in Education, Spanish, Portuguese, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the British Curriculum and inclusive teaching practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and track student progress through assessment.
- Proactive, collaborative, and committed to continuous professional development.
- International teaching experience and IB knowledge are desirable.
