About the Role
At BCA Logistics, we're looking for an experienced and driven
Operations Manager to lead our Specialist Logistics operation.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end driver operation, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and strong commercial performance.
You'll lead and develop operational teams, drive performance against key KPIs, and play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding service to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Leading daily transport and logistics operations to ensure excellent customer service delivery.
- Managing driver resources effectively to maximise utilisation, productivity, and operational performance.
- Providing strong leadership, coaching, and development to operational teams.
- Taking ownership of performance management, employee engagement, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Monitoring and improving operational KPIs, analysing performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and cost performance.
- Managing customer escalations and implementing long-term solutions to improve service outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with all transport, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
- Building effective working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Leading the operation through daily challenges while maintaining service standards and operational resilience.
About You

- Proven experience within transport, logistics, or fleet operations management.
- Experience leading and developing operational teams.
- Strong performance management and employee engagement experience.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret KPIs and drive improvements.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- CPC Licence.
- Experience within a Specialist Logistics environment.
- Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS).
- Continuous improvement experience.
