Main Purpose of The Role: We are looking for a Parts Advisor for our site in Corby. As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for ordering parts and consumables as well as storing and issuing parts to the workshop. This is an ideal role for a candidate with previous experience of working as a stock controller or parts administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Booking goods into the system
- Cross-referring vehicle parts
- Liaising with the stock team to order required parts
- Completing stock checks both physical stock holding and system balances
- Answering all email and telephone queries
- Completing weekly reports and all relevant paperwork
- Assisting in the provision of quality administrative support to the workshop
- Maintaining all systems ensuring that adequate and appropriate records are created and maintained
- Ensuring that work is carried out efficiently to ensure deadlines are met
- Other ad-hoc duties
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (essential)
- Previous experience within the automotive sector (desirable)
- Computer literate with experience in using Excel (not essential)
- Strong communicative skills – speaking, reading and writing (essential)
- Excellent numerical and literacy skills
- You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in your work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
