About The Role

  • HGV Workshop Apprentice
  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician
  • 32 Months (+3 months EPA)
  • Reporting to: Head of VMU Operations Corby

The HGV Apprenticeship offers hands‑on‑related workshop training and experience alongside day release to study at college - providing practical, on-the-job training and classroom-based instruction.

Main objectives

Based in our Corby VMU this role will offer the following

  • The opportunity to work alongside highly qualified & skilled Technicians and to learn from their experience.
  • To be paid a competitive wage whilst gaining the practical skills, knowledge and experience required to gain a Level 3 qualification.

Candidate requirement

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and not in full time education.
  • Must be able to follows instruction and guidance from mentoring technicians retain instruction for future use, ask relevant questions and demonstrate a positive attitude to learning.
  • Must understand the Health & Safety requirements within the workshop and the importance of good housekeeping.
  • Must behave in a mature and professional manner in the workplace and demonstrate good attendance and timekeeping.
