Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm (plus Saturdays on a rota basis, approx. 1 in 3)

Our Site Operations and Driving teams play a vital role across our business. Main purpose of the role: Within this role, you will be working as a part of Yard Operations Team, leading the daily operations of the yard team. The yard and halls activities will be predominantly undertaken outdoors, this means that you will spend a significant proportion of your time exposed to all weather conditions throughout the year.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Yard Operatives across a busy site
  • Store and park all vehicles on site within the fleet yard, via agreed valet/wash services, so that vehicles enter and leave the site in accordance with the daily program
  • Barcode all new vehicles on arrival and tag keys
  • Log and remove any valuable items left in vehicle
  • Be responsible for jump starting vehicles when needed (training provided)
  • Politely refer any issues, queries, or complaints to the relevant manager
  • Undertake any other tasks in the yard department to ensure that operational requirements are met within the agreed deadlines

Skills and expertise:

  • Previous experience as a Team Leader
  • Full UK Driving Licence – you need to be comfortable to drive manual and automatic cars
  • You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in your work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
  • You will need the ability to work independently and as a part of the team
  • Excellent attention to detail
