THE ROLE:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security and performance of critical technology services across cloud, hybrid and on-premises platforms. Working closely with managed service providers and internal stakeholders, you will support the delivery, optimisation and continuous improvement of infrastructure services. You will manage, maintain and enhance servers, networks and cloud environments, ensuring systems remain secure, resilient and available. You will contribute to infrastructure projects and technology upgrades, support backup and disaster recovery capabilities, and provide technical expertise for complex and escalated support issues.
In this role, you will use your experience across a range of infrastructure technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Windows and Linux servers, networking, virtualisation, identity and access management, endpoint management and security technologies. You will help monitor platform performance, identify opportunities for optimisation, automate routine operational activities and support the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation and DevOps practices.
You will be comfortable troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and collaborating with colleagues and suppliers to deliver effective solutions, and maintaining accurate technical documentation. Your ability to balance operational support with continuous improvement initiatives will help ensure reliable and efficient services for the organisation.
To be successful, you will bring hands-on experience across infrastructure, cloud and networking technologies together with a commitment to learning and professional development. Relevant certifications in areas such as Azure, networking, endpoint administration and Windows Server technologies are desirable, alongside experience working within regulated or security-conscious environments.
