THE ROLE
In this position you will be responsible for the delivery of all IT infrastructure and related IT operations used to enable business capabilities and services across the enterprise. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will have line management responsibilities for Information Security, IT Service Operations, and Business Resilience. The Head of IT Operations brings experience, knowledge, and future vision for transforming the IT Operations function including its strategy, operating model, product and service offerings, and workforce. You will be a senior stakeholder in all relationships with externally sourced infrastructure and operations capabilities. As a key member of the senior COO leadership team, you will contribute to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and be responsible for ensuring IT Operations strategy is fully aligned, positioning IT Operations to deliver compelling business value.
With a proven track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary talent teams in new endeavors and delivering solutions, you will demonstrate the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, build teams and consensus, get things done through others not directly under your supervision, and work ethically and with integrity. You will have experience of leading IT practices/functions in small to mid-size organizations and of implementing and maintaining effective IT operational management frameworks across service, risk, and security. Having the ability to influence senior stakeholders to Board level, including HMG stakeholders, is essential, as is having experience of implementing governance and control processes commensurate with an organization of the scale and complexity of BBB.
