Responsibilities
- Support the execution of the Banking team’s suite of products, gaining exposure to securitisations, structured finance and other capital market instruments.
- Assist in structuring, financial modelling, approval requests and drafting of legal documentation for each new transaction.
- Gain extensive exposure to all facets of a transaction and assume substantial responsibility early on.
- Participate in a rotational programme to gain experience across multiple product teams.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or above (or equivalent work experience) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering, preferably with a minimum 2:1 classification.
- Experience in a financial institution and working knowledge of VBA is desirable.
- Demonstrable interest in the SME finance marketplace and willingness to obtain a relevant professional qualification such as CFA.
- During induction, attendance at the office is required a minimum of 3 days per week to benefit from collaborative working environment.

About the Role
The Banking team is a centre of expertise for capital markets and debt financing activities in the small business lending markets. It originates, structures and manages cash and risk transfer transactions of SME loan and asset finance portfolios, managing billions of pounds of public funds to drive economic growth across the UK. The team works with lenders such as banks and non-bank financial institutions to address funding, security and capital constraints that may limit credit activity in the SME sector, improving access to finance for smaller businesses and reducing market gaps.
