THE ROLE
As Associate Director, Governance and Resilience, you will be responsible for driving excellence and managing risk across IT Service Governance, Information Security Governance, and Business Resilience. You will ensure governance frameworks, risk controls, compliance measures, and resilience strategies are integrated and aligned with the Bank’s objectives, supporting operational stability and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will lead a team responsible for designing, implementing, and improving governance processes that safeguard information assets, manage risk, and maintain operational resilience. You will foster a culture of accountability, transparency, constructive challenge, collaboration, and outcome focus, ensuring IT services are effectively governed and the organisation is prepared for disruption.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to provide strategic direction, operational oversight, and guidance, ensuring governance activities are proportionate, resourced, and responsive to business needs. You will optimise IT Service Management and Agile Project Delivery tools, drive improvements in processes, technology, and service delivery, and support the development of policies, contracts, and controls that reduce risk and enhance efficiency.
You will bring experience in Agile delivery, IT Service Management, ITIL, service catalogues, configuration management databases, service tiering, and service ownership. You will be skilled at articulating and managing risk, fostering a transparent and risk-aware culture, and taking appropriate, calculated actions to achieve outcomes.
You will lead governance forums such as the Change Advisory Board, coordinate audit and compliance activities across technology and information security, and oversee the development and testing of contingency plans for critical processes. Experience optimising workflows in tools such as Jira and Confluence will support effective tracking and reporting across teams.
