Main Responsibilities
We are seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead for our Telescope team. Telescope delivers real-time insights to editorial teams worldwide, supporting BBC’s mission to inform about world events. The team builds front-end experiences, infrastructure, and data products, working within the Data Platform department to enable data-informed decisions.
You will lead, mentor, and develop a world-class engineering team, ensuring delivery of high-quality products and adherence to best practices.
Interview process
This role involves a virtual 2-hour interview, comprising:
- A 55-minute technical presentation and discussion
- A 10-minute break
- A 55-minute competency-based interview on leadership and management
