JOB DETAILSJOB BAND: DCONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, Full-time DEPARTMENT: BBC News LOCATION: This role will include producing content for TV and digital, planning, producing bulletins and reporting.

The successful candidate will also be given the opportunity to develop into producing our flagship 1830 news programme.

Production of TV bulletins and programmes, from lunchtime bulletins developing through to our flagship 1830Commissioning and selecting relevant materials for output, ensuring they meet expectations of our audiences and adhere to the BBC’s editorial guidelines Planning and/or undertaking reporting duties, filming and editing material for broadcast where appropriate Originating and producing stories which may include scripting, editing, outputting, filming and presenting content across a range of multimedia platforms May be required to present live or recorded content on radio, TV or online.

A high standard of editorial judgment and production skills based on substantial broadcast journalism experience.

A strong understanding of our digital platforms and their importance for our news operation and audience growth.

Ability to manage resources and staff to create engaging content in the most cost effective manner.

The flexibility and adaptability to sustain performance, particularly under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities.

Ability to write creatively in an engaging manner, adapt, produce and translate with accuracy, clarity and style appropriate to differing audiences and forms of media suitable for multimedia output.
