Job Introduction
We are seeking a Finance Specialist in Capital & Lease Accounting to join our Financial Operations team in Cardiff. This is a permanent role. The team provides professional financial support across the BBC, focusing on Capital Accounting and IFRS16 leases, ensuring operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise on IFRS 16 leasing and related costs.
- Assess BBC contracts for lease requirements.
- Manage lease contracts and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with BBC accounting policies.
- Lead development and maintenance of the lease environment.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and identify process improvements.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience with IFRS 16 accounting.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Ability to communicate complex data effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience with SAP is beneficial but not essential.
