The purpose of this role is to establish and deliver DMU campus league activity and contribute towards campus participation in physical activity by building relationships across campus and delivering pop up and recreational events for the students.

You will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering campus league activities, introductory pop-up sessions, and social tournaments. Your responsibilities will include leading the operational execution of sports programmes, building strong relationships across the University. You will manage resources and collate participation data to continuously improve our offers.

Experience delivering physical activity programmes and working in higher education or a customer-focused role is highly desirable. You will be an adaptable team player committed to inclusivity and delivering exceptional student experiences.

Ideal Candidate

Essential skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in coordinating and delivering sport, physical activity, or recreational programmes.
  • Background working in a team-based, and customer-focused environment.
  • Strong organisational, coordination, and IT skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work flexibly.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working within Higher Education or directly with university students.
  • Ability to collect, analyse, and use participation data to inform programme development.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and approachable problem-solver.
  • Enthusiastic team player who excels in fast-paced environments.
  • Empathetic and customer-oriented, with strong attention to detail.
