About the Role:
As the service Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to join a successful multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering a range of sporting performance and community wellbeing programme outcomes here at the University of Huddersfield. You will coordinate and deliver a comprehensive clinic that meets the needs of individual athletes, teams, wider university & local community members in our high-quality cross campus facilities.
As our Physiotherapist, you will be working within a multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality physiotherapy services to the University of Huddersfield community through provision of a clinical service. This will include performance sport athletes, Students' Union club members, wider student & staff population, external sports teams & individuals and Kirklees members of the public. This role will include some clinical placement supervision of University of Huddersfield students on the BSc Physiotherapy degree programmes.
Requirements:
- Graduate Diploma and/or degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registered
- Valid first aid certificate
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of elite athlete support services and inter-disciplinary sport science
- Extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Extensive knowledge of sports injury prevention/rehabilitation in sport
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Self-management skills
- Ability to actively reflect on learning whilst demonstrating autonomy, self-awareness, action planning, time management & initiative
This role is 18.5 hours per week. This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Regular status checks may also be required, depending on your role.
