WE ARE HIRING – PORTSMOUTH CITY CENTRE BID MANAGER WANTED TO LEAD PORTSMOUTH CITY CENTRE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (BID) (VOTED IN DURING MARCH 2026 FOR ITS FIRST FIVE YEAR TERM)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Portsmouth City Centre Business Improvement District (BID) is looking for an exceptional candidate with a genuine passion for Portsmouth City Centre to start the delivery of their five-year business plan starting in October 2026. With direction from the board of directors, you will lead Portsmouth City Centre BID, while working in partnership with Portsmouth City Council - to deliver our 2026-2031 Business Plan, which secured a 93% ‘YES’ vote in March 2026.

Your role will include:

  • Overseeing the delivery of the new five-year business plan
  • Championing local businesses and shaping place strategy
  • Delivering a wide range of projects across safety and security, marketing, events, business support and public realm that support BID stakeholder businesses and enhance the Portsmouth City Centre offer
  • Setting up successful partnership and business relationships to implement key policy decisions that may influence or provide opportunities for the City
