Raytheon UK is seeking a highly capable and experienced Principal Subcontract Specialist to support and lead key subcontracting activities across the British Army Collective Training Transformation Programme (CTTP).
This P3-level role is ideal for a professional with good knowledge of subcontract management, who can work independently, communicate with stakeholders, and drive operational improvements & performance of our suppliers supporting British Army Training.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Subcontractors / Suppliers with moderately sized contracts (10 - 40m) with minimal oversight, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage small projects or subcontracting processes with autonomy and accountability for delivery.
- Apply advanced knowledge of subcontracting practices to solve difficult and occasionally complex problems across multiple work areas.
- Management and negotiation of contracts, non-disclosure agreements and terms and conditions.
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior professionals, ensuring quality and consistency in subcontract execution.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to align on policies, practices, and procedures.
- Influence operational decisions and contribute to the development and enhancement of subcontracting processes and systems.
- Deliver day-to-day objectives that have a significant impact on operational results within the programme.

- A university degree (preferably in a STEM or business-related field) or equivalent experience.
- Practical knowledge of subcontract management, supplier engagement, and contract execution.
- Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate mostly independently, engage and communicate across functions and make informed decisions.
- Experience in managing subcontracting activities and contributing to planning.
- Experience in coaching & guiding junior team members.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at an operational level.
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC level) is essential
- Experience operating in joint or matrixed teams
- Ability to communicate across military and industry partners
- Focused on outcomes, delivery, and operational excellence.
