We are seeking competent personnel for the Military Police (MPGS) to protect the armed services across the UK. This full-time, permanent position is open to regular or reserve service members (or former soldiers) with a maximum 6-year gap in service and a minimum of 3 years of prior military experience. The role offers a structured 12-hour shift cycle (4 on, 4 off), a salary ranging from £25,693 (PT) to £28,009 (PT) over four years, with opportunities to progress to higher ranks (£29,066 – £53,859). It includes paid holiday, pension provisions, subsidised accommodation, free medical & dental care, and a range of training and sporting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage security incidents such as suspicious packages, bomb threats and protests.
- Patrol site perimeters and oversee the checking of persons and vehicles.
- Control entry and exit, operating the control room and gate facilities.
- Perform duties at selected sites that require Military Working Dog support.
- Support the Royal Navy, RAF, Army and MOD bases across the UK mainland.
Requirements:
- Age 18–57 years.
- Maximum 6-year gap between periods of service.
- Minimum 3 years active military service (regular or reserve).
- Medical fitness and BMI below 32.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 8 penalty points.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
