Responsibilities

Looking after the oral health of Army personnel all over the world is the job of a Dental Officer. The Royal Army Medical Service (RAMS) can be found everywhere from large, nine-chair practices on huge Army bases to small mobile surgeries on operations. You'll experience plenty of both during your career. There's also plenty of independence. You choose the treatment you think is best - not what the patient can afford. The Royal Army Medical Service (RAMS) has cared for the Army's dental health for more than a century and continues to provide high-quality dental care to the Army both in barracks and on operations. Wherever in the world the Army operates, you will find the Dental Officers and Dental Nurses of the RAMS.

For those enrolled in a UK university on a dental degree course: apply while you are still at university, before the end of January.
