Job Summary

You will be part of a great team ensuring the cleanliness of the hospice is kept to the standards required whilst following the guidance given by the training provided. This will include day‑to‑day cleaning of patients’ rooms, communal areas and office spaces. There will be a variety of tasks performed individually and with the team. You will meet patients and their families. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary environment for patients, employees and visitors.

  • Cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas, clinical spaces and office areas, as well as managing waste disposal and linen services, all while adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Helping to create a warm and homely environment that enables the organisation to meet everyone’s needs.
  • Keeping the buildings clean and safe is a crucial task, which is why the role is so important.
  • Carrying out a variety of tasks which ensures that everyone can enjoy a clean, tidy and welcoming environment, directly impacting the patients, their visitors and the employees working to support them.
  • Part of a small team working alongside and supporting each other whilst carrying out your duties.
  • Given all the necessary training to help you with your role.
