Bishop Burton College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer to join our team, taking a leading role in delivering outstanding teaching, curriculum development, and student support within your specialist area.
Responsibilities:
- Act as Programme Leader for designated courses, collaborating with colleagues to design, deliver and continuously improve engaging learning programmes.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality lessons, create effective learning materials, and set and mark assessments.
- Contribute to examination design and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing regular feedback.
- Work closely with curriculum managers to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, support student discipline and morale.
- Ensure all quality assurance processes—such as course reviews, self-assessment and external verification—are fully met.
- Develop strong links with industry partners, awarding bodies and external verifiers, ensuring teaching reflects current sector standards and best practice.
- Participate in marketing activities, open events and key annual college showcases such as Lambing Sunday and Open Farm Sunday.
- Embrace new learning technologies, contribute to curriculum innovation and engage in ongoing professional development to maintain subject expertise.
