Responsibilities
- The role will include working with a wide variety of taxa including carnivores, hoof stock, primates, birds and reptiles.
- This is a varied role that will include working with our native rare breed regenerative farming enterprise on the Armathwaite Hall estate.
- This is a customer facing role that will include presenting talks, providing animal encounters and regular interaction with our visitors.
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about wildlife and conservation and wants to share this enthusiasm with our guests.
Desirable Skills
- 3 years of experience of working in an animal related environment.
- DMZAA or equivalent qualifications.
- A broad range of experience of animal keeping including birds, reptiles, primates, ungulates and domestic stock.
- ATV/tractor driving skills.
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Computer literacy skills.
- Maintenance and enclosure refurbishment skills.
- Initiative to continually strive towards improving the Park and wider estate.
Full-time Details
Full time 40hrs per week to include weekends and bank holidays
