We are searching for a Displays Supervisor to help our SEA LIFE centre thrive, leading from the front and shaping jaw dropping experiences for every explorer who walks through our doors. What You'll Do
- Help lead the safe, efficient and inspiring day to day operation of the SEA LIFE centre, ensuring every display is ready for adventure.
- Champion exceptional animal husbandry standards across the collection, always putting welfare first and pushing for best practice.
- Work closely with the Displays Curator to develop, evolve and innovate our animal displays, creating truly wow worthy encounters.
- Oversee life support systems, ensuring they are operating perfectly to support our aquatic environments and the species within them.
- Drive outstanding standards of cleanliness, presentation and theming, making every habitat a visual journey beyond expectations.
- Manage diets, feed plans, health monitoring, medication and treatment across a diverse collection of aquatic species.
- Lead, coach and inspire your team, helping each individual grow while delivering consistently brilliant animal care.
- Act as a key holder, responding confidently to life support and alarm call outs when adventure does not sleep.
This is a full-time permanent position based at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, with flexibility required across weekdays and weekends.
Qualifications & Experience
- An experienced aquarist with strong practical knowledge of aquatic animal husbandry and public aquarium operations.
- Confident working with life support systems and water quality, spotting issues early and solving them decisively.
- A proven people leader who brings out the best in their team and leads with warmth, clarity and purpose.
- Deep understanding of zoo licensing standards, health and safety requirements and regulatory compliance.
- A proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and thinks clearly when challenges arise.
- A passion for creating amazing creature encounters that excite, educate and inspire our adventurers.
- Degree level education or equivalent experience in a relevant bioscience or animal care discipline is ideal.
- Knowledge of best welfare practices for marine mammals and aquatic birds is a bonus, but curiosity and commitment matter most.
- Experience working with reptiles is a bonus.
