About the Role
An exciting job opportunity has arisen to join our team at Washington Wetland Centre as a Casual Trading Assistant. We are looking for a versatile individual to become an integral part of an inspirational and vibrant trading environment.
- Giving a warm welcome to every visitor in the visitor centre, admissions area, shop and café, demonstrating exceptional standards of customer service.
- Serving visitors at the till purchasing goods from the shop or café, this will include taking orders, making hot drinks as well as serving our seasonal menu and clearing tables.
- Helping in the kitchen, ensuring you maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times.
- Supporting our visitors at admissions with entry, membership and a warm welcome to our wetlands.
This is a casual position where hours are offered on an ad hoc basis. Candidates will need to be willing to work some weekends, bank holidays and during the school holidays.
About You
To join us as a Casual Trading Assistant, you will have a friendly personality and a commitment to providing an exceptional visitor experience. The role requires a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Previous experience of working in retail and/or catering is preferred but not required – successful candidates with no experience will be given full training to complete their duties to the highest standard.
