Casual Catering Assistant – WWT London Wetland Centre
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Casual Catering Assistant to join our front‑of‑house team at WWT London Wetland Centre, a small visitor attraction welcoming 130,000 visitors each year.

Type: Paid Contract – Part‑time
Salary: £13.42 per hour

About the Role
You will provide a warm and informative welcome to all visitors and inspire them to get closer to nature by delivering exceptional customer service. You will take orders and payments, make lots of coffee, serve our seasonal menu, and clear tables while engaging with visitors and giving them an amazing experience.
Duties Include
- Work in front and back of house to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of our catering offer.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organisational standards and food safety regulations.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Provide welcoming and warm service to create unforgettable visitor experiences.
- Assist with product presentation.
Hours are ad‑hoc and are offered on an as‑required basis, including weekends and bank holidays. Typical shifts are daytime, with occasional evening shifts for special events or functions.

- Excellent communication skills – interact confidently and clearly with customers and team members.
- Adaptable and flexible – comfortable adjusting to different tasks and working conditions throughout the day.
