Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for an Animal Management Lecturer to join our Berkshire College of Agriculture team on a full‑time basis. This fixed‑term role runs from 12 August 2026 to 9 July 2027.
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver a diverse range of practical and theoretical subjects, including animal behaviour, biology & animal health, breeding and genetics, and animal training predominantly at Level 3 T‑level and BTEC.
- Teach and assess with awarding bodies such as BTEC and City & Guilds.
- Provide course tutorship, supporting students throughout their college journey and into employment or further studies.
Required qualifications:
- Degree in Animal Behaviour & Welfare, Zoology, or a closely related subject.
- Teaching qualification preferred.
- Experience assessing learning and internal verification advantageous.
Desired experience:
- Experience teaching and assessing with BTEC and City & Guilds awarding bodies.
- Experience working directly with a range of animals in an industry setting.
Skills and attributes:
- Creative and inclusive teaching approach, able to engage a broad range of learners.
- Excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Active listening, encouraging development and championing achievement.
