About the Role
Hartpury is seeking an ambitious, driven professional with extensive animal knowledge and experience to manage and develop our expanding animal collection. This is an exceptional learning resource that underpins all animal‑related practical activities, supporting both College and University students in developing industry skills.
About You
- You have extensive experience within the animal industry or an educational animal establishment, with an excellent understanding of best husbandry practices across a variety of domestic and exotic species.
- You have a strong knowledge of animal welfare standards and legislation.
- You bring experience of working in an education environment, or demonstrate an understanding of the curriculum, with the motivation to inspire learners to achieve excellent results and develop employability through the Hartpury Certificate.
- You have proven experience in staff management and team leadership.
- You are professional, motivated, and demonstrate consistently high standards with a positive attitude.
- You are flexible, adaptable, and resilient in challenging situations.
