British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Manager – NVT in Globe House, London – permanent role.

Based in Globe House (London Head Office), the role reports to the Head of Corporate Finance as part of the Nicoventures Corporate Finance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible to support the management of cash and treasury transactions across the limited risk distribution model – Nicoventures Trading Limited. The role should ensure accurate cash management and accurate reporting of financing, FX across the centre and all regions within new categories.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Month end reviewing but not limited to:
    • Monthly hedge allocation to end markets.
    • Monthly FX clearing and posting.
    • MTM reconciliation and Treasury balance sheet monthly.
    • Non-cash adjustments, to ensure cashflow validation clearance and completion of supporting schedules.
    • Trial balance movements of the cash, derivative, FX accounts and explanation for variations over the threshold.
  2. Responsible for BATCASH submissions for Nicoventures Trading Limited and Nicoventures Swiss Communications, as well as working with key stakeholders to ensure centre positions with respect to intercompany remain level.
  3. Prepare the hedge proposal based on the currency exposure uploaded in BATCASH and present it in the monthly meetings with end markets and regional treasury.
  4. Provide the monthly hedge forecast for all markets.
  5. Produce the treasury committee presentation.
  6. Prepare the yearly insurance questionnaire for Nicoventures Trading Limited.
  7. Supporting with the opening of new bank accounts – prepare documentation and work with bank account management team to meet bank requirements.
  8. Ad hoc reports on cash forecast accuracy, currency exposures, market’s flows, FX analysis.
  9. Identify and implement process improvements.
  10. Support cash forecasting and monitoring for management purposes.
  11. Participating in special projects and ad hoc requests where possible.

What are we looking for?

  1. Degree educated with professional accountancy qualification (i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA);
  2. Good understanding of Group and Corporate Finance principles.
  3. Experience of treasury accounting, cashflow forecasting and analysis.
  4. An understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, including SAP and BPC;
  5. Ability to manage a high volume of data and present it in a simple, innovative and impactful way;
  6. Ability to prioritise and remain resilient in the face of challenges;
  7. Ability to identify process and reporting improvements and proactively implement solutions;
  8. Ability to work independently managing stakeholders across a wide range of locations and markets;
  9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to influence and challenge;
  10. Maintains excellent working relationships with all stakeholders and is a team player.
