This role will work with the Channel Manager for Convenience through managing an account portfolio and executing Account Plans to meet volume, market share, and other commercial goals aligned with TM&D / Brand strategies, focusing on Availability, Visibility, Dialogue & Activation. You will manage Key Account budgets, support pricing strategies, and improve Key Account processes. You will also collaborate with the Finance team and other departments to optimize results and resources. Additionally, you will work closely with the National Account Manager for High Street.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of accounts, overseeing budgets, forecasts, and actuals, and ensuring timely reporting with Finance.
- Developing and maintaining account portfolios, ensuring objectives are SMART and aligned with company strategies.
- Achieving objectives related to Availability, Visibility, Dialogue, Activation, market share, and volume for assigned accounts.
- Ensuring compliance with BAT and account systems/processes for excellence in execution.
- Monitoring account performance through data and market analysis to identify opportunities and issues.
- Building strong relationships with trade partners and internal teams.
- Conducting account performance reviews and adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Communicating variances to plans promptly and sharing market intelligence.
- Understanding Supply Chain processes internally and externally.
- Using BAT’s performance management tools to track progress and performance.
- Continuously developing personal skills and leadership capabilities.
- Upholding BAT’s CSR and Global Marketing Standards in all activities.
- Supporting Key Account Managers in BAU processes and pricing communications.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in Account or Category Management
- A full driving license
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to operate in a challenging commercial environment with a decreasing account base while balancing business demands.
