London (Chiswick)
As an Area Head of Cash, you will play a key role in driving cash performance across the Western Europe Area.
You will lead the development and implementation of effective cash management practices, improving forecast accuracy and supporting sustainable working capital improvements across multiple markets.
Working closely with Finance and cross-functional teams, you will identify opportunities to optimise cash flow, drive business initiatives and translate operational actions into measurable financial outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to influence decision-making, enhance cash discipline and contribute to the long-term financial performance of the business.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Lead cash management and performance improvement initiatives across the Western Europe Area, partnering with teams across 23 markets.
- Drive accurate cash forecasting and performance tracking, ensuring clear visibility of cash opportunities and risks.
- Identify and deliver working capital improvement opportunities across areas such as inventory, customer payments and supplier processes.
- Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to translate business actions into measurable cash outcomes.
- Establish and embed effective cash governance, reporting frameworks and best practices across markets.
- Lead transformation initiatives focused on improving cash flow, operational efficiency and sustainable business performance.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making and driving a stronger cash-focused culture across the organisation.
- Monitor performance against targets, identify improvement opportunities and provide insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Comply with and implement activities in accordance with regulations related to environmental protection, occupational health and safety, fire protection, and internal EHS or Sustainability standards and procedures.
What are we looking for?
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business performance and working capital drivers, including inventory, receivables and payables.
- Proven ability to translate operational actions into measurable cash outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills combined with financial discipline and attention to detail.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional transformation initiatives in a complex, international environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leaders.
- Ability to drive change, embed new ways of working and build a strong cash-focused culture across teams.
- Strong systems knowledge, including experience with financial systems, reporting tools and data analytics platforms; Treasury experience would be an advantage.
- Ability to partner with business teams to identify opportunities, challenge decisions and improve financial outcomes.
