A busy, welcoming family in Notting Hill, London, seeks a fabulous live-out housekeeper who can start end of August/September time. The usual schedule will be 9.30am-5.30pm Monday through Friday. The family normally spend their weekends elsewhere, however please be flexible to accommodate occasional longer hours or weekend work if the family remain in residence.
Responsibilities
- Assisting a live-in housekeeper with all aspects of organising and cleaning the home, including regular deep cleaning.
- General cleaning to include daily tidying, dusting, mopping and vacuuming.
- Ensuring all communal and heavy-use areas are maintained.
- Changing linens and towels every 3 days.
- Household laundry and ironing.
- Keeping an eye on inventories, and making lists of missing supplies.
- Reporting maintenance issues.
- Light grocery shopping and other ad-hoc errands.
- Working closely with a fully staffed household, responding to any requests from the family and/or house manager.
Requirements
- A good level of fitness - the home has 5 flights of stairs!
- Discreet, flexible and calm personality.
- Impressive attention to detail.
- Comfortable around children.
- Positive, can-do attitude, able to work equally well as part of a team, or independently.
- Plenty of previous high-end housekeeping experience.
- Excellent references.
- Initiative and self-motivation with a positive approach to tasks and a bright, friendly disposition.
