A lovely, welcoming family seeks a temporary nanny for two children aged 7-years (girl) and 5-years (boy). This is very much a shared care role - both parents work from home and Mum is present and active in her children's lives, so candidates must be comfortable tag-teaming with Mum and playing a support role when needed. The position will start early July and continue until early September, with help needed Monday through Friday from around 9am-6pm.

The children are bright, curious, and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible. The ideal candidate will know how to really engage with the children's interests and imagination, will encourage and support their creativity, and will really enjoy spending a fun summer with them. Additionally, responsibilities will include:

  • All the usual household duties pertaining to the two children, including keeping their areas clean and tidy, organising their wardrobes and belongings etc.
  • Meal planning and simple cooking for the family
  • Planning and accompanying the children on fun summer outings and to various activities
  • Regular trips (for 4-5 days at a time) to the countryside
  • Supporting emotional, cognitive, and developmental milestones

Requirements:

  • A lovely, friendly and positive personality who is adept at reading the room
  • Previous experience with a similar age-group
  • A confident driver is preferable but not essential
  • Confident cook, able to prepare simple but healthy meals
  • Able to accompany the family for 4-5 days at a time when they leave London (accommodation provided)
  • Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with a moveable schedule, and different ages and interests
  • Active and energetic, very hands-on and a pitch-in approach to the role
