A busy, welcoming family seeks a full-time, live-out housekeeper for their six-storey Kensington home. This is a Monday through Friday role, with a usual schedule of 9.30/10am-6.30/7pm daily. The role is available immediately; however, the family are keen to find the right fit and so won't rush into anything.
Responsibilities:
- All general cleaning, including mopping, polishing, wiping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
- Daily cleaning of bathrooms.
- Maintaining high-use communal areas to a high standard.
- General household organisation and tidying (making beds, general maintenance of household spaces to a high standard).
- Regular deep cleaning, including developing daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
- Laundry and ironing for the household.
- Regular changing of bedlinen and towels.
- Wardrobe management including seasonal switches.
- Ensure proper care of luxury finishes including stone, hardwood, custom cabinetry.
- Occasional supervision of contractors and vendors.
- Running errands and household-related shopping in person and online.
- Assisting with general household tasks as needed.
- Occasional meal preparation for the family if confident and happy to do so.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate is a career housekeeper with a real understanding of high-end households, a high level of attention to detail, and is able to work independently and with initiative.
- Prior experience in a similar private household role.
- Knowledge of caring for high-end materials and clothing.
- Comfortable picking things up quickly and anticipating needs.
