Overview
A welcoming, private London-based family is seeking a kind, proactive, and experienced bilingual French/English governess or career nanny to support two school-aged children. This is a long-term role ideal for an ex-teacher with a structured, engaging, and caring approach. The term-time schedule will be Monday through Thursday, 4-9pm, Friday 2.30-9pm and alternate Saturdays, 9am-9pm. During school holidays the schedule will be 5 days per week, for 12hrs per day. Obviously, a little flexibility would be appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Support daily routines, including school runs (driver provided), homework, dinner, and bedtime
- Create fun, educational, and screen-free activities (especially during holidays)
- Help with school prep and maintain a calm, organised routine
- Oversee children’s calendars, wardrobe management, packing for trips
- Promote reading, writing, and French language development
- Plan playdates, parties, outings, and liaise with schools
- Travel with family and ensure all logistics are in order
- Maintain healthy habits, good table manners, and respectful behaviour
