Seeking a wonderful part-time infant nanny for a delightful 2-month-old girl. The ideal schedule would be 5-6 hours per day, 4 days per week, however the family are happy to be flexible for the right candidate. The position will start in September and will be a mixture of sole charge and shared care. Occasional weekend help and/or evening babysitting would be appreciated, and the position could become full-time in the future, if the candidate is interested and the parents find the right fit!

Responsibilities

  • Flexible around Mum's requirements - she may need to pop out for a few hours, or she may just need an extra pair of hands to help at home.
  • General nursery duties, including help with breastfeeding, changing nappies etc.
  • Baby's laundry and tidying.
  • Help with the eventual weaning process.
  • Once trust and a rapport has been established, taking the baby outside for walks, and possibly to activities and classes.
  • Putting the baby down for naps, adapting the schedule when appropriate.
  • General support for Mum.

Requirements

  • Flexible and adaptable, able to show initiative and see what needs doing and what might be helpful.
  • Native English speaker. Another language would be a bonus (e.g. Russian, German), but not at all essential.
  • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
  • Knowledge of child development and previous experience working with newborns/young babies.
  • Warm, nurturing and friendly, positive approach.

Salary and Benefits

£22-£25/hr, depending on experience.
