In addition to regular weekday care, they would love someone who is open to occasional babysitting, and to travelling with them from time to time — both within the UK and internationally.
The little boy will be four months old when this role begins, and the family is looking for someone who will love him like their own, while also being the kind of steady, nurturing presence who sets gentle boundaries, teaches manners, and helps him grow into a kind and confident person. The nanny/housekeeper will also keep the house clean, tidy and organised. Responsibilities will include:
- Age-appropriate play, stimulation, and developmental activities
- Sleep routine support and, as he grows, gentle sleep training
- Introduction to solids via baby led weaning when the time comes
- Keeping his environment safe, clean, and nurturing
- Preparing baby food
- General housekeeping, tidying living spaces and bedrooms, vacuuming high use areas regularly etc
- Laundry and ironing for both baby and family daily
- Deep cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms weekly
Requirements:
- Longevity in previous roles, with at least 4 years with the same family if possible
- Proven, recent experience with babies from newborn age — you should feel completely at home with a four-month-old
- Solid knowledge of infant sleep, feeding, weaning to solids, and developmental stages
- Exceptional cleaning skills
- If you're a confident cook, able to prepare meals for the family on occasion, this would definitely be appreciated!
- Someone warm and affectionate, but also confident setting age-appropriate boundaries
- A calm, positive, and patient temperament — the kind of person babies and toddlers naturally gravitate toward
- Strong communication with parents
- Flexibility for nights and travel
- Paediatric first aid certification
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- Long-term stability — we are not going anywhere
- Travel opportunities
